inb4 forum whores.
We just had a little tussle with The initiative. We saw they reinforced 6 cad moons in one system a day or two ago, so we got a few haulers in to try scoop towers and attempt to drop our own towers to steal the moons. We managed to gypsy switch one of the cad moons, and they proceeded to attack it with 20 bs + support to try destroy it before it onlined. We countered this move with dropping around 5 carriers or so onto them.
As expected they warped about 30 caps onto our 5 carriers, and we dropped cyno. Combined forces of Neos, BYDI, Invicta and Cry havoc jumped to us mainly in carriers. The fight began and we were slowly taking down their dreads while we were slowly losing some more. As expected lowsec lag monster set in and most of us had to relog. We managed to get the edge, and all their dreads exited siege and began to allign out, so we spread points. About half of their dreads managed to get out, and the other half re-entered siege and logged. As they were going into structure alot of them began disappearing and some were popped, so im not entirely sure on final numbers. Overall fun fight despite the lag and the logoffski.
Wont link kb's yet, will wait a few hours to let the sync to try get the full picture. gf
Here's a picture

From init "grunt" side:
We had brushed the 6 moons in low-sec, and expected a night to switch them over, one got ninjad and a POS went up, while anchored in never online as of this post.
Our support (30+ ish, mostly RR BSes) became hotdropped by a smaller number of carriers. At this point we were sorting out our cap fleet, which was in chaos, and order was issued to warp to POS and hit seige.
First half of the engagement dreads were popped on both sides, slowly lagg kicked in seriously and many got desynched. After clearing the field of all hostile dreads we saw, the decision was made to drop siege and warp out as the 40-ish ship carrier-tank couldn't be killed by our remaining caps.
E: Most of us were so desycnhed and couldn't do a thing, hence the decision to hit the loggoffski, was really nothing else to do other than sitting through a major desynch. :fail-justification:
Some managed to warp, and those who were locked down/desynched got the order to hit siege and log off. At this point killboards are still filling up, but CH/all the alliances who hotdropped us (can't remember names ) held the field.
Hats of for a fun battle.

Sad part about that though counted 7-8 caps logged off, but otherwise great fight.(horrible lag, and that perfs.ini ccp made helped a lot)
Mistress can probably do a battle report better than me.So i'll shut up now _________________ Purple Lasers are Awesome.

Is this a common tactic amongst cap pilots? Go down like a man ffs |

Yeah, we had about 8 dreads tackled that disappeared from logoff.
Terrible game mechanic. If you are actively under fire, logging shouldn't remove you. |

Confirmed, I was onlining mods at the tower. Init support fleet warps in, local spikes and approx 7-8 caps land on grid and warp to the station, they are now sat outside the station getting remote repped. _________________

Goons logged off a cap fleet in Omist and Feythabolis vs a subcap fleet. Then after they logged 3-4 cap fleets in Querious and delve.
Everyone does it for different reasons. _________________

I wasn't saying BoB were the only ones, but the only ones I could remember at the time. I know everyone does it, sorry for the confusion. _________________ Elektrea

Pretty sure logging off only clears desync if you log back on .
Vanishing caps aside was a fun fight, lag could have been much worse considering the location. GF and thanks to all involved . |

Huzzah called Augustus Richter (Black Nova Syndicate) in a piratey Nyx in Bordan today. Got a warp-in near him, gang swept the area with ships and drones until he uncloaked, cyno and kicked his ass.
That's MS #3 to self destruct on us. |

Haha, what a faggot. We were asked to go and pew pew him but we are fixing our sec and all over atm. GJ on getting him. People would be better off doing this kind of shit in carriers to be honest. |
