I hope starting a new WC thread is ok since hostilities seem to have gone beyond the usual roaming.
Sc0rched Earth have been hearing rumours for a little while about Aggression. and friends making another play for the region following their repulsion from TCF stations a month or so ago.
Tonight word came in of Aggro bridging out from Doril to an unknown location. A short time later they bridged into M-M, bit of a welp for us since we were in the process of moving a cyno jammer.
Aggro started work on incapping a bridge into system and some pos guns then made a break for the gate as we bridged in our fleet. Some sniping at the gate netted us a few kills, maybe 4 or 5 before they jumped out.
Scouts reported them coming to 1-L so we moved back and deployed as they entered from Q-G and another fun little fight ensued with losses for both sides. BYRN lost mainly smalls and BC while aggro lost a small number of BS.
Major welp moment came when we followed them into SO, another place jammers and towers have recently been moved and realised the cyno going up was impending death by doomsday for maybe 30 ships.
Numbers quoted are vague because I am too tired to count them all after a full day of pvp, not intended to hide any losses. Killboard is here for those who have more fingers and toes than me.

A well executed trap and a good evening of fun. May it continue.

My apologies, in game name is Zostera as signed at the bottom of the post.
Tried to get the "neut in local" changed to zostera by mailing a couple of mods but no change so far. PM'ed you to explain.

Quite a fun night for us in Aggro, we noticed that the last few days Sc0rched had been crapping themselves a little over a threat of us invading, and had placed an insane number of bubbles around there station gates.
We had a guy in M-M, who commented that he couldnt see a jammer on scan, so a plan was quickly hatched to bait some Sc0rched out to be DDed.
The original plan, didnt exactly goto plan, but what the heck, we ended up in M-M, confused, and bored, we warped to the jump bridge, where we got a few kills. We thought meh, lets provoke these, so started to shoot the jump bridge. We managed to incap it, and still no Sc0rched, so us still bored, took out the scrambler and waited for Sc0rched to do something...
Time passed, I warped everyone to the R4something gate, and proceeded to make a nice dent in there collection of T1 and T2 bubbles, then came a welp moment, as they warped in snipers, and leroyed carriers right ontop of us, so we jumped out, and planned something further along the pipe.
http://aggro.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=3110808
So I decided to take the fleet down to F-GG, nice system, alot of bubbles, and silly pilots who really like to get stuck in bubbles, however we get intel that Sc0rched are running around there insanely strange jump bridge network to catch us in 1L, So we jumped into 1L, and reapproached the gate. Surely enough they warped in, and we took out the majority of there support and battle cruisers, took a few losses due to some people not correctly fitting, but for the most part we RR'ed very well. Then intel came, carriers in system, so we deaggressed, and jumped out.
Expecting something to come through we waited on the other side... And nothing, insted we hear that the order for Sc0rched to stand down and to loot the wrecks... Puzzled we waited a minute, jumped back in, and surely enough a couple of Battle Cruisers, and POP they went. We then warped to the SO- gate. Where we huddled against it, and in once again Sc0rched leroyed carriers and sniper bs. So we jumped out, and reapproached the gate, waiting once again for more to shoot.
http://aggro.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=3110785
So, we were waiting in SO-, I personally had expected that Sc0rched would use there excellently complicated jump bridges to get in snipe range on us again in SO- and Cyno over the carriers, a plan was hatched, our Cyno pilot from earlier waited, one of our titans ready to pounce, orders given not to aggro until I said, Then.... Gate Fire :O.
Sc0rched jumped in there entire fleet, so I screamed for a cyno, incame Hurley, and well bye bye Sc0rched.
http://aggro.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=3111338
So, intresting times indeed... For what started a simple bait trap lead to the following.
66 Sc0rched Dead - Total Isk = 2.75B
25 Aggro Dead (Note Hurley killed 5 of them ) - Total Isk = 1.34B
We scooped the loot, and Sc0rched licked their wounds.
Best Quote of the night goes to Too Ducky, who when jumped his fleet into SO- and saw the cyno then hurley said the following on Teamspeak. 'Oh Shit, Ive Killed The Fleet!'.
Good Fight Sc0rched |

Yes good baiting on your part.. in our blood lust we forgot about SO not being jammed.
Bit of a fail though as you had us with a down jammer in a station system and basically did nothing. Fights were more or less in our favor until we fell into your DD trap-- a mistake we likely wont make again.
Was a busy day in WC.. 3 AAA roaming gangs and fun with Aggression. |

Scorched earth have been pretty good about providing fights recently, that's pretty much the sole reason for AAA roaming gangs.
We had a bit of a :welp: moment when we jumped into a BYRN camp, then local went up by another 30 and carriers started warping in. We had a preset plan....but my mic apparantly decided to turn itself off, so we had no primaries being called _________________ Loike/sophia cortez/Agent Argosy |

Equally AAA have been pretty good at bringing the fights to us.
I think on two occaisons I remember from the last few days AAA have jumped into us when outnumbered and stuck around to fight, even coming back through a perma bubbled gate once they realised we were getting a fleet up to respond.
AAA have been using T2 Hac heavy and we generally responded with BC heavy fleets for some cheap low cost fun. Sometimes our numbers are considerably higher but this is due to people being keen to fight and not an intention to blob. On the whole I don't think either side is interested in the numbers killed or lost since both seem very happy to have some fun chasing each other around for postition and trying to kill each other on the field. Win some, lose some, everyone wins making the game a bit more lively.
Not seeing AAA activity as any kind of Sov challenge but it is a very welcome bit of pvp activity in Euro TZ.
Edit: We did wonder where in hell you had got to yesterday evening after turning up on our doorstep then vanishing as our fleet formed up. Even suspected a logoff you left so fast but then later realised you had pressing business in Tenerifis to take care of. Sounded like fun from the battlereport. |

Nothing of much interest this weekend after the jammer thing in M-M. We staged a fleet last night and had eyes on Aggression gathering around Hurley for a bridge but nothing happened.
Supposedly something will happen on Thursday but not sooner as Aggression say they are waiting for something to proceed... they are actively trying to throw us off with spy talk and chatter of corps flipping to them and such but nothing that has any substance to it.
Time will tell.. Snake said he would ask everyday this week if we were ready to surrender |

No battles to report.. most of the fighting Aggression is doing is with words. Most recent salvo was them trying to convince us that TCF had turned on the NC
The 'big" fight is supposed to be Thursday the 23rd as for some mysterious reason they can't do it until then.
We took a small battleship gang into their home area last night but couldnt get a fight, or even a DD. |

So what is Aggressions story? I see Hurley from BOB/EXE, but where did the rest of the corps come from? _________________

Well, FoFF and STEMP are both ex-EXE corps. We decided to do something different then hang out with the GKC massive (for reals, yo) and formed AGGRO with the intention of going to new and forign parts, to make friends with the locals and catch STDs off their women folk. Some light looting and pillaging was also on the agenda, I believe
Recently we've been taking steroids to man it up a little (in the form of recruiting) so we can make even MORE friends. Not realy much of a story I'm afraid, although there was a conspiracy theory from BYRN saying that we're all working for the Free Masons or something, and are being paid with ebay ISKies to mine Veldspar in Wicked Creek. I am happy, however, to say we're just here for fights and fun. Honest |

From BYRN's viewpoint, so being fair there is margin for error if I comment on the objectives of each corp withing AGGRO, so I wont. I will however give a bit of detail that can be picked up from Dotlan and a bit of general background.
Aggression made a play for TCF's station systems in Wicked Creek a little over a month ago. They were succesfully evicted after maybe 4 or 5 days of tower shooting. However at that time their numbers were much lower and seem to have been mainly Ex GBC/GKC corps. Evidently this would not be the end of the matter.
Since then AGGRO have taken in enough corps to almost double their numbers into the region of 1,100 members. Black serpent technologies have joined them from Intrepid crossing, Heavy influence from Wildly Innapropriate and 3 or 4 other corps with no or varied previous alliance history.
In terms of allies it seems Minor Threat and Triumvirate will be involved too since both these alliances have been staging Titans at AGGRO pos's in CVY in curse along with Hurley. Although Minor Threat has lost a couple of former Tri corps in recent days dropping the alliance down to half it's former size. Whether those corps, Burn Eden and HAVOC are going back to Tri is a subject for the tinfoilers. Demonic retribution also left MT, destination unknown but I am sure Dotlan will catch up soon.
So in terms of the general politics of the opposition it seems to be a pretty mixed bunch. How their objectives and involvement pans out will hopefully be seen in some good battle reports from both sides in the days/weeks to come.

From our point of view we werent evicted. We voluntarily withdrew with the plan to take another approach that would be easier. |

I question the take an easier approach. When you first attacked the Sov 4s were not in place, and while you had fewer numbers you also had less of a challenge to go against/
You've grown a lot, but I guess the fact that we have allies in the region means you have to bring your 'coalition" as well.
Hopefully something will happen-- all the posturing and talk of an attack is getting old, and your public claims that there is no invasion plan are suspect at best.
Let's get it on! |
