ok we don't know exactly how all the t3 stuff will pan out, and it is a ways off yet, but given expected constraints on cost and maximum slots(i.e. probably impossible to get t2 web, speed and resist bonuses and 8/8/8 all on one ship), what kind of ship would you build that doesn't already exist, or is an improvement on an existingplatform?

e.g. for myself, if it were possible i would look into versions of tempests that had -1 high , -1 mid and +1/2 lows;
and sliepnirs with -1low +1mid.

but that gets me thinking, how do ccp balance out slot choices in any half decent way, cause surely everyone will be thinking of tweaking their favourite platforms by removing slots with the least marginal benefit(2nd utility high) and adding slots to where they can most benefit(extra mid for pretty much any shield tank pvp ship!)

Honestly Weirda hope that t3 not just about changing slot arrangement and bonus though.

Would be nice if there were configuration where you have massive heat sink in one of three rack (but not more then one) - or way to achieve ability to optimize "Glass Cannon" (i.e. super specific, but very weak in every other way) ship.

Weirda think it be neat if you could Overheat Ship too (and take structure damage during that time). Reinforced Bulkhead would be like heat-sink for ship. Cool

Will be very interesting to see what it bring though.

rapier without any ozone bonuses or tp bonuses, but +webstrength and +point range(and it's usual +webrange).

but that is just being silly perhaps. Razz

I think an anti capital battleship should only be able to fit one gun, and it should graphically be part of the ship. Like a spinal mount gun. (Think long tube with a ship around it)

Capital guns on a BS just wouldn't work :/ those things are huge.

Regardless of what patch notes would promise, I would immediately try adding hi-slots or low-slots to ships that already had 8 hi or low slots.

Then I would alt-tab out, check SHC and wait for people cleverer than me to come up with some good setups \o/

My first concoction will be a speed breaker:

- pick the lightest mass components for each spot
- one bonus for top speed
- one bonus for reduced mass
- plenty of low slots for istabs (or whatever the best speed mod is post QR)

I would accept whatever rotten slot layout this ended up with.

I'm hoping that they will allow a 7 or 8 km/sec ship... assuming that the non-speed-related attributes will be truly terrible if you go this route...
