I'd link the FIX kb but it'll get blown up. Just look around, on ours (not complete by any means) 14 or 15 russian dreads went down, and a few carriers. I know almost all allied dreads went down as well though, a huge part of that was the fact that the hostile pos was gunned. You'll see the pos at the top of a lot of cap killmails. Was a good fight, and I was pleasantly surprised that the russians didn't bring in titans. So I guess it's more like 35 or 30 caps down, but still kinda big.
edit: So total is about 60 caps down.

This was from a Smash player on CAOD and seems to be right about on as far as numbers from what I can gather:
| Quote: | | we killed 20 caps (17 dreads 3 carriers) and lost 37 caps (25 dreads 12 carriers) |
"We" in that quote being from Smashkill.
I am sure a few more might trickle in but all in all mass battle. It has been brewing since this started. _________________ Meh... |

I think one of our guys has some of it frapsed and I am sure others from both sides have some as well.
Never let it be said that the drone regions are boring anymore. The moons might suck, the rats and lack of exploration might suck but for the past few months it has been smashmouth.
This is second major cap on cap battle in drone space in a month (the last being in BNX where over 25 caps were lost). _________________ Meh... |

The engagement is at 23 caps killed (19 dreads 3 carriers) and lost 37 caps (25 dreads 12 carriers), SDG & co held the field but most cap wrecks were blown up before the fight ended by smashkill & co.
Edit: editing for cap number changes

One one hand I want to absorb my killboard whorum to see all these spectacular kills. At the same time the love for EVE dies a little inside since Capital ship fights are starting to be the new BS turkey shoot fights. _________________

| Quote: | | How unexpected of you to you choose one of the earliest summaries of the engagement in the coad thread while details are still being tallied. |
Actually that quote was from a Smash member 2 hours after the fight and very late in the CAOD thread and appeared to be almost dead on with a review of all participants KBs. I am usually very careful to make sure the dust has settled before trying to report things on this level. No need to push this in a silly direction it doesn't need to go Bobby.
Both Solar and XIX use RA's killboard still. You just head there and go to "corps" and you can click on Solar Dragons then XIX and get a picture. The main issue is the cross spam in cap battles. Like friendly smartbombs or drones getting on a friendly loss mail. Takes a bit to filter all of that out.

Actually cap fights with that many dreads dieing on both sides are still pretty rare. |

For the most part everyone in our list of Allies was estatic about the battle, no matter the outcome. There were some decenting opinions, mostly due to lag. But there was alot of love for that battle, and alot of respect from/to both sides for bringing it. Anymore, pilots don't have many notable engagements that will stick with them during their EveO gaming career, this was heralded as one of those.
Unfortunately I wasn't there (damn board meeting).
Far as I know, CAP's have been refunded/purchased and most are ready and WANTING another engagement like that.

Atlas KB
The Atlas KB seems to have calmed down a bit and accepts traffic. Pretty sure Solar Fleet still use the RA KB (?) which is still taking some heat, so couldn't really get in. _________________

One of our nerdy math types took the time to roll through the killboards and came up with this total. It seems to be as accurate as can be, this was posted on CAOD originally:
| Quote: | I may have missed something, but here is my count of losses on both sides:
RK/SMASH/Atlas/FIX/VI (note 1):
42 caps lost (30 dreads, 12 carriers)
SOLAR/xXDEATHXx/IRC (note 2):
23 caps lost (20 dreads, 3 carriers)
I'm home sick, so don't be nasty if I made a mistake - just point it out and I'll correct it. Here are the details if anyone wants to cross-check notes:
(note 1): zozolar (Moros), DaeMon ix (Naglfar), rasrisk (Naglfar), Andrachim Tar'nar (Revelation), Da Vicksta (Moros), Gemstone505 (Moros), Shan Juan (Moros), Trask Kilraen (Moros), gerku (Moros), Appius (Naglfar), Ben Danner (Naglfar), *****zilla (Moros), Mucificatoru (Moros), Shiny Ex (Moros), Uruz (Moros), Commander Nikolas (Moros), Frau Formaggio (Moros), Helganstandt (Moros), Skaaltel (Moros), Leelo Dallas (Naglfar), CrazzyElk (Phoenix), RayTruz (Phoenix), Thain (Phoenix), zerotol0010 (Phoenix), zoltar pdp (Phoenix), WeeQuay (Revelation), mineswallower (Moros), Cab Man (Phoenix), Qinio Lileis (Phoenix), Abadyn (Revelation), Gemstone505 (Thanatos), *****zilla (Thanatos), Cargion (Chimera), Grimmy (Chimera), W33DSS (Chimera), Draumr Kopa (Thanatos), Maximor (Thanatos), Helganstandt (Thanatos), Eve Lanerii (Chimera), pinto fbeer (Chimera), Bobby Atlas (Thanatos), Zephyrante (Thanatos)
(note 2): Koldyr (Moros), BigMaman (Naglfar), Kruber (Naglfar), Pacodan (Naglfar), Dracomir (Phoenix), KuCKA (Phoenix), Solar Dragon (Phoenix), madbazz (Phoenix), Chuang Tzu (Revelation), Suttekh (Revelation), Venter (Revelation), VortexGodly (Revelation), Zmey (Revelation), LANAA (Moros), Star Nove (Moros), Cavalera (Phoenix), fischsemmel (Phoenix), 6arupa (Naglfar), Antwon Stylex (Naglfar), OTMOPO3OKxDEATH (Naglfar), BJIagbIKa (Thanatos), Kyerra (Thanatos), Drujok (Thanatos)
And yes, there were three people that lost both a carrier and a dread. Those aren't typos. |
Pretty epic. _________________ Meh... |

Haha oops, I mixed up Atlas with some random alliance friendly to the Russians, possibly IRC.
What does this battle mean in the long run btw? Like, what was even it for? _________________
