Moon mining isn't fun, but it as announced as "being fun", too. I'm a little bit sceptical if this whole business isn't going to end up in a grindfest.

This is 10 times more complex than I figured. Good, I guess....

I like the part where you cooperate with others on the same planet, like you mine the stuff, someone else builds it, etc. That's cool.

I'm still dying to know what the end product is though. The only thing I can see that would not fuck the whole economy is NPC goods (pos fuel), which would transition from NPC to player produced.

What part of moon mining involves grinding? The only thing I can think of is hauling the finished products to market.

None of this is confirmed, obviously, but Nanite Paste seems to be one of the outputs on SISI.

I don't see this contributing much of anything to being able to shoot people with space ships.

I think CCP forgets what their core product is.

A sandbox game. One that puts everything in players hand. Every item used has been made by players. I think CCP knows very well what their product is and I assume that we now get to produce all those items that currently are being sold by NPC corps.

Know whats crazy is I know there are people who play the game solely for the industrial end and never have/never will kill another ship in Eve.

As for the patch... I'm still meh

Yeah, there definitely are. Would be interesting to see what the breakdowns are for player activity.

Would anyone still play if there was no spaceship shooting? My feeling is very few, but maybe there's a larger silent group than I can see.

Would anyone still play if there was no building? Yes, definitely. Though the portions of building that require people to undock are good for the game (people in stations don't make the game fun, people outside of stations do).

the economic system of eve is really good, but i think its the "YOU CAN KILL TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR SPACESHIPS IN THIS GAME" that gets asses in the seats.

Even though there's no combat in mining the resources themselves (yet), you still need to pickup those goods and haul them to the market, so this should still open up opportunity for shooting. I don't know what the current volume/isk ratio of NPC goods is currently but if they made it so an Orca or Freighter was required to make planetary resources really profitable it will definitely open up more opportunities to shoot stuff out from under people.

Currently on SISI the PCCs fire resource cans into space and drop a special bm for it into your journal. I believe they can be scanned down as well, but haven't confimed it.
